June 13th, 2015: The San Diego Republican Party holds an annual dinner fundraiser called the Lincoln Reagan Dinner. The dinner was held this year at the San Diego Hilton Bay Front hotel. This year’s guest speaker and honorary attendee was Senator Rand Paul who is a 2016 Presidential Candidate for the Republican Party. Prior the dinner Dr. Rand Paul hosted a book signing event at the hotel for his new book, Taking a Stand: Overcoming Partisan Politics To Unite America. Lincoln Reagan dinner attendees had the opportunity had the opportunity to purchase their own signed copy of the book and shake hands with Senator Rand Paul.

Senator Rand Paul delivered a powerful and insightful speech to a packed room. He discussed a wide range of issues from the bulk collection of our phone records, to waste in government and more specifically Washington, and the importance of the 4th and 6th Amendments of the US Constitution. Dr. Rand Paul talked about his beliefs on why Benghazi is such a failure of leadership for the current Obama Administration as well as former Sec. of State and Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Citing specifics of the lack of oversight and concern prior to the tragic event and then the absence of responsibility afterwards. When Dr. Paul finished his speech he was greeted with roar of applause and clapping.
